JAMP/KAPLAN MCAT Program
Phase I - Summer I
- Critical thinking, verbal reasoning, reading comprehension
- Diagnostic Exam (beginning of summer program) – ½ length Practice Test
- Science Assessment (end of summer program)
- Intro to Phase II for the junior academic year (end of summer program)
- Science component: Physiology and/or Anatomy
- Preceptorships/clinical exposure
- Ethics/Professionalism
Phase II - Junior Academic Year
JAMP MCAT Phase II consists of the following:
- Kaplan Online Prep - 300 hours of comprehensive MCAT prep over 6 months. Due dates are scheduled in blocks with about 4-6 weeks in between. You must complete all assignments marked “Required” in red by the due date listed on the JAMP Phase II Student Syllabus. As time allows, you are encouraged to also complete the “Strongly Recommended” and “Additional Assignments” especially for weak areas. Please note that these are not required, however. Only those that are listed as “Required”.
- JAMP Live Online (LOL) - Live classes designed specifically for JAMPers. These will be taught for each of the Tracks by an MD/PhD student who will teach live from New York. The Physical Sciences and Biological Sciences Tracks will have 7 sessions and the Verbal Reasoning Track will have 6. There will be no classes scheduled in December.
The “JAMP LOL 3 Track Schedule” breaks out the schedule per track. JAMP students are required to attend the dates for the track(s) they are assigned to. The “JAMP Phase II Student Syllabus” will provide the full schedule which has all JAMP LOL track dates as well as the Online Prep session due dates. Everything on the syllabus is a required (except for the LOL tracks you are not assigned to).

Phase III - Summer II (as needed)
Registration for the April MCAT exam is required, however if progress in Phase II indicates the need for additional prep, JAMP students will change their registration to the July exam and be required to attend Phase III which is a 4-week intensive MCAT prep in the summer in place of a traditional Summer II program. JAMP students will be assigned to one of two programs for the second summer:
