Dr. John "Jack" Stobo Named President Emeritus of UTMB

Regents Approve $11.5 Billion Operating Budget for UT System

'Supply Chain' Initiative Projected to Save Millions

An initiative aimed at cutting costs through bulk purchases across The University of Texas System health institutions will net $2.5 million in its first year and is projected to save campuses more than $30 million when fully implemented.

Shared Services Initiative Yields Efficiencies, Cost Savings

It began simply enough. Chancellor Mark G. Yudof approached Dr. Scott C. Kelley, executive vice chancellor for business affairs, with a value-added philosophy of sharing resources between institutions of The University of Texas System. Yudof and the UT System Board of Regents were looking at ways to consolidate business functions — where appropriate — to add value and better standardize processes and reports.
