Annual Enrollment Has Ended – Don’t Forget These Key Follow-Up Items!
Annual Enrollment ended at midnight Central time on July 31, 2012. Annual Enrollment was the once-a-year opportunity for you to change your UT Benefits elections and add or remove dependents from your coverage without a qualified change of status event. If you made an Annual Enrollment election, you should have received a confirmation statement the next day via email. Insurance ID Cards and UT FLEX Debit Cards for the 2012-2013 Plan Year
Enrollees in the new dental plans (UT SELECT Dental Plus and DeltaCare USA Dental HMO) and the new Vision Plus plan will receive new insurance identification cards before the start of the 2012-2013 Plan Year (which begins on September 1, 2012).
We have created a table that includes details on the UT Benefits ID cards that will be issued as well as those which will not be reissued. To order additional ID cards for your dependents, please check the plan website for options or contact the customer service team after September 1, 2012. Important Medicaid Notice for Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP)
As a group health plan sponsor, The University of Texas System, is providing this notice to you in compliance with the Children’s Health Insurance Program Reauthorization Act (CHIPRA) which was signed into law on February 4, 2009. If you or your dependent is covered or becomes covered under Medicaid or CHIP, you may be eligible for special enrollment rights and should contact the appropriate state agency as detailed in the notice. UT System, Living Well: Make it a Priority Health & Wellness Enhancements for 2013
The Office of Employee Benefits at University of Texas System is excited to announce that in January, 2013 will be introducing a new enhanced Health & Wellness initiative. The program will be moving in a new direction with more tools, resources and programs for our members to better take care of their health and well-being.
Due to this new direction we will be transitioning Health Risk Assessment (HRA) services away from our third party administrator, WebMD. The WebMD HRA will be available to all members until August 31, 2012. From September 1–December 31, 2012 we will not have a HRA available. In the meantime please visit our Living Well: Make it a Priority Program website at www.livingwell.utsystem.edu to access other support tools and resources available to you though your UT SELECT Health Plan. UT SELECT Medical now provides 100% coverage for Preventive Screenings
Free Preventive Care and Services – The UT SELECT Medical plan has always offered robust preventive care benefits including 100% preventive colonoscopy and no cost immunizations for children under 6 years of age. Now, certain additional preventive care and services will be available to you with no applicable copayment or coinsurance as long as you see a network provider and meet certain screening eligibility requirements.
