Annual Enrollment Election Period Over
Annual Enrollment, the period when you can change your group insurance benefit elections and add or remove dependents from your coverage without a qualified change of status event, ended July 31, 2011. If you made an annual enrollment election, you should have received a confirmation statement email the next day. Review your annual enrollment elections on the confirmation statement carefully to ensure they are accurate. Learn more.

Insurance ID Cards and UT FLEX Debit Cards for the 2011-2012 Plan Year
Insurance ID Cards
Because there are no changes to key benefits information such as deductibles, copayments, and customer service contact information for the UT SELECT Medical (including prescription), UT SELECT Dental, Assurant Dental, or Superior Vision plans for the upcoming 2011-2012 Plan Year, new ID Cards will not be issued this year to continuing participants in these plans. If you have newly enrolled in medical, dental, or vision coverage, you should receive your new ID Card(s) by September 1, 2011. Important Medicaid Notice for Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP)
The University of Texas System, as a group health plan sponsor, is providing this notice to you in compliance with the Children’s Health Insurance Program Reauthorization Act (CHIPRA) which was signed into law on February 4, 2009. If you or your dependent is covered or becomes covered under Medicaid or CHIP, you may be eligible for special enrollment rights and should contact the appropriate state agency as detailed in the notice. Reminder, Starting on September 1, 2011!
Free Preventive Care and Services – The UT SELECT Medical has always offered robust preventive care benefits including 100% preventive colonoscopy and no cost immunizations for children under 6 years of age. Now, with the implementation of health care reform, beginning September 1, 2011, certain additional preventive care and services will be available to you with no copayment or coinsurance as long as you see a network provider. Be aware that you may be responsible for some services received during an office visit if those services are not preventive.
