UT SELECT Dental–Premium Rate Increase; Rates and Benefits Unchanged for Other Optional Plans

The UT SELECT Dental plan administered by Delta Dental is self-funded by the UT System. With UT SELECT Dental, you may see network or out-of-network dentists, and referrals are not required to see a specialist. If you see a Delta Dental network dentist, Delta Dental will pay the dentist directly.

Effective September 1, 2010, there will be a small premium increase of approximately 3% to all coverage levels. The premium increase is necessary due to overall increased utilization of the plan and will result in an increase in monthly out-of-pocket premiums ranging from $0.90 for employee/retiree only coverage to $2.67 for employee/retiree and family coverage.

No Changes in the Premium Rates or Benefits for Dental HMO, Vision, Long Term Care, Disability Plans

There will be no changes to the premium rates or plan benefits for Dental HMO insurance provided by Assurant Dental HMO, Vision insurance provided by Superior Vision, Long Term Care insurance provided by CNA, or Short-Term Disability (STD) and Long-Term Disability (LTD) insurance provided by Dearborn National. During this Annual Enrollment, Evidence of Insurability (EOI) is required for enrollment in Disability (LTD and STD) insurance.
