The System-Wide Insurance Advisory Committee (SWIAC)

The University of Texas System-Wide Insurance Advisory Committee (SWIAC) works with the UT Board of Regents in administrating the group insurance program for employees, retirees, and their dependents at all of the U.T. System institutions.

Members of SWIAC are made up of one elected and one appointed representative from each UT institution. They serve as advisors to the Board of Regents, through the Employee Group Insurance Office, in the development, implementation, coordination, and administration of the group insurance programs. SWIAC provides a channel for open communication of ideas and suggestions regarding group insurance benefits.

The advisory committee meets three times each year, usually in October, January and May. Employees may contact their campus representatives about topics they would like addressed.
