On October 19, 2001,
Charles Miller, Chairman of The University of Texas System Board
of Regents, announced the selection of the firm Spencer Stuart
to assist the Board to identify and screen candidates for the
position of Chancellor of The University of Texas System.
Spencer Stuart has assisted in other University of Texas executive
searches.
Mr. Tom Simmons, the Managing Director of Spencer Stuart's Houston
office, will oversee the service contract with the Board of Regents.
