First Lady Betty Ford was the keynote speaker at the dedication of new facilities for The University
of Texas M. D. Anderson Cancer Center on October 2, 1976. The event celebrated the opening of a new addition and
other facilities that would double the size of the entire institution in one expansion. Shown, left to right, are
