Source of information: Fall 1992 - 1995: Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board(THECB)
Fall 1996: UT System OIR compilation of preliminary CBM-008 reports to the THECB

Notes: Beginning Fall 1996, the THECB definition for "Professors, Associate Professors, Assistant Professors and Instructors" only includes tenured and tenure-track faculty; prior years included Clinical faculty. Also, beginning Fall 1996, these counts include research faculty, librarians, administrators with faculty titles, and faculty on leave; prior years did not.
Percentage totals may not sum to 100.0% due to rounding.
"All Ranks" means Professors, Associate Professors, Assistant Professors, Instructors, Lecturers, Teaching Assistants, Visiting Teachers, and Adjunct Faculty.
Data include all faculty for the UT Brownsville / Texas Southmost College partnership which was established Fall 1992. In Fall 1992, Texas Southmost College was in the process of ranking faculty to match UT Brownsville's ranking scheme.
For UT Austin, prior to Fall 1995, "Non-Resident Alien" included permanent resident non-citizens as well as temporary non-citizens. It now accurately includes only temporary non-citizens.
