Welcome from the Chancellor
chancellor'scouncilpin Framework for Advancing Excellence.

Organization

The Chancellor’s Council recognizes individuals, foundations and organizations whose cumulative giving–to UT System or to one or more of the 15 UT institutions–totals $10,000 or more in outright gifts or $15,000 in a planned gift.

The 13,000 members of the Chancellor’s Council represent 165 counties across Texas, all 50 states and 21 countries. Each of these members shares an important role, serving as advocates for higher education and health care.

Memberships

For more than 40 years the Chancellor’s Council has served to recognize and pay tribute to alumni and friends for their generosity to one or more of the UT System institutions and to encourage continued involvement. There are many ways to get involved and support the UT System.

Communications

Chancellor Council members receive frequent communications about UT System news and events through publications, periodic mailings,
e-newsletters and other personal communications. If you are interested in receiving communications from the Chancellor, you may subscribe by sending an email to chancellorscouncil@utsystem.edu.

Programs and Activities

Chancellor’s Council members are invited to attend the Annual Meeting & Symposium held each spring, usually the first Friday in May, which includes Chancellor Cigarroa’s “State of the System” address and features presentations that focus on innovative programs and dynamic works at UT System institutions.  This year’s Annual Meeting & Symposium was held in Austin on Friday, May 3, 2013. Go to the Annual Meeting homepage for a recap of the day's events.

Members also receive special invitations to events with the Chancellor and key administrators, including opportunities to attend enriching activities both on and off campuses.
