J. Scott Maberry is an attorney in the Washington, DC office of Fulbright & Jaworski L.L.P. He advises clients, including universities, research laboratories, and research sponsors on compliance with U.S. trade controls. He conducts training, helps develop compliance policies and procedures, conducts compliance audits and internal investigations, and has extensive experience helping clients respond to U.S. government investigations in the areas of dual-use export controls, munitions export controls, technology transfer, anti-terrorism laws, and U.S. economic sanctions. He is the Chair of the American Bar Association's Committee on Export Controls and Economic Sanctions, which conducts regular educational, outreach, and advocacy programs with U.S. government regulators, policy makers in Washington, and compliance practitioners.
