David Galloway is Brigham Young University's Executive Director of Compliance and Audit and is also the university’s compliance officer. David has over 25 years of internal auditing experience. Prior to his appointment at BYU, David was Director of Internal Auditing for Energy Northwest, a public utility located in Richland, Washington; and, most recently, Director of Internal Audit Services for Tech Data Corporation, a Fortune 500 company and the world’s second largest distributor of computers and computer-related equipment, headquartered in Clearwater, Florida.

David is a CPA with a Master of Accountancy from Utah State University and a B.S. from BYU. He is author of Internal Auditing: A Guide for the New Auditor, now in its second edition, published by the Institute of Internal Auditors.
