How do you determine if you have a successful compliance program area for your departments in Student Affairs? Whether the high risk areas documented are well controlled?  National experts in Student Affairs high risk area will share best practices and discuss how and why they do what they do to mitigate the risk.  Presentations will cover such items as risk assessments, training plans, monitoring plans, reporting plans, assurance activities, audit programs, and how operational units, compliance offices, audit offices, and the office of the Vice President for Student Affairs work together to mitigate the risk for Departments within and as an umbrella program of effective Risk Management for Student Affairs.  Some of the units housed in Student Affairs to be discussed include Recreational Sports, Housing & Food Services, the Career Exploration Center, the UT Learning Center, University Health Services, Counseling & mental Health Center, the Office of the Dean of Students, the Texas Union, the Office of the Registrar, and Texas Student Media.
