Updating your Biographical Data

Name Changes: Please present proof of your name change to U.T. System Human Resources (ASH 3). Since this data is used for payroll purposes, only legal names (no nicknames) can be used.

SSN Changes: In the unlikely event of a change in your SSN, please present proof of this change to U.T. System Human Resources.

Home Address, Home Phone: If you have a UT EID, simply log in at https://utdirect.utexas.edu/pnbiog/ to make your change or to prevent it from being displayed in the directory. If you do NOT have a UT EID, please contact the OTIS Help Desk.

Department/ Mailcode/Title Information: Department and Title changes occur automatically when appropriate forms have been filed by your department. Once the forms have been processed in Payroll, your changes will appear in this directory. However, please note: employees are grouped into departments based on mailcode. If you change departments you must also change your mailcode. If you have a UT EID, you may change your mailcode by logging in to https://utdirect.utexas.edu/pnbiog/. If you do NOT have a UT EID, please contact OTIS Help Desk.

Office Building, Room, Phone: If you have a UT EID, simply log in at https://utdirect.utexas.edu/pnbiog/ to make your change. If you do NOT have a UT EID, please contact OTIS Help Desk.

Email Address: If you make arrangements with OIR to change your email address, you must still update that information with Payroll. To do so, login at https://utdirect.utexas.edu/pnbiog/ to make your change. If you do NOT have a UT EID, please contact OTIS Help Desk..
