How the information is organized

When accessed using the list commands, the member’s biographic, demographic and coverage information is organized into 19 sections or 'pages.' (see The 19 Pages ). You can navigate from one screen to another by tabbing your cursor to the page input field in the upper right hand corner of your screen and typing in the page number you wish to view. You can also use the F11 key to turn back to the previous page and the F12 key to turn forward to the next page.

Viewing Current records vs. All records

Each time a change is made to a subscriber’s information, the processes that upload the eligibility datasets from the components creates a new record for that subscriber. If the subscriber has dependents, a new record is created for each of them as well. Since the old record is not overwritten, EGI maintains a history of each subscriber’s coverage through his or her employment.

Because the potential exists for a subscriber to have many records, when you access *SGELIG to view a subscriber through one of the list commands, only the current records are displayed. However, the history of records is available to you to view.

The F10 key allows you to toggle between the current records and all the records so that you may view the appropriate records with the most convenience.
