*SGELIG is a secure application. To access *SGELIG, request authorization from your supervisor. Once you have received authorization, open a mainframe session and type *SGELIG in the command line of the COM-PASS screen, or logon to SGELIG on the Web.

*SGELIG Menus

*SGELIG has a hierarchical menu system. The top level main menu (command M.) gives the user an overview of the types of functions available. The second level main menu (command MM.) lists more specific groups of functions within the types listed by the top level overview. The third level main menu (command MMM.) contains each command for each group in each overview.

'/' used to indicate the end of the last name and beginning of the first name when searching by name
'.' used to tell *SGELIG to ignore any information entered in the command line to the right of the '.'
',' used to tell *SGELIG to access global information entered in the command line previously.
'?' used to obtain help, type '?' on a field to see options or available help

Interpreting *SGELIG Codes

Relationship – defines the relationship of the Insured to the Subscriber

Benefits Eligibility Status – describes the eligibility status of a Subscriber based on employment status

Record Action – describes the last action taken on either a Subscriber’s record or on a particular coverage of the Subscriber

Plan – indicates the coverage plan of the Subscriber
Medical Plans - Dental Plans - Vision Plans - PAI Plans - Life Plans - STD Plans - LTD Plans

Plan Level – describes the coverage level a Subscriber has for a particular coverage type

Evidence of Insurability (EOI) Coverage Action - identifies what EOI action was taken on a record, for example AB indicates the record was Automatically rolled back due to insufficent EOI

Evidence of Insurability (EOI) Coverage Action Required - describes the status of EOI on a given date

Evidence of Insurability (EOI) Coverage Action Reason - describes the status of EOI on a given date

Evidence of Insurability (EOI) Date Code - describes the status of EOI on a given date

Error Code Table - describes any error found concerning the record
