Viewing Eligibility Information Using the List Commands

The *SGELIG list commands offer the ability to look up individual Subscribers, Subscribers and their Dependents, alphabetic lists of Subscribers and lists of Subscribers narrowed by component. By using the list commands, you can page through 19 screens of eligibility information for Subscribers and their Dependents. You can also view current records as well as archived, historical records.

Viewing Eligibility Information Using the 111 Screen

Another way to view eligibility information using *SGELIG is by using the 111 Screen. Viewing through the 111 Screen allows you to look at one record of a Subscriber or Dependent at a time. Instead of paging through screens to access information, you can select topic heading to view the eligibility information.

Communication Logs I: Reviewing Logs

*SGELIG offers the ability to create and view communication logs. The entries in these logs can help when addressing eligibility issues. They can be created for a problem, a question, or simply to document interaction with the member. Since many people, from Benefits Officers at the components to Insurance Specialists, Control Clerks and Systems Analysts at Employee Group Insurance, access the eligibility records in *SGELIG to assist our members in getting proper benefits, it is extremely helpful to have a record of previous interactions.
