External Relations is organized into six service areas:
- Development and Gift Planning Services
- Center for Development Leadership
- Public Affairs
- Community and Business Relations
- Communications
- Special Services
The Office of External Relations assists the
UT System's nine academic
campuses and six health institutions with the enhancement of support
from the private sector and serving as a resource to the institutions
for fund-raising. Using a variety of media, such as print, the web,
and e-mail communications, External Relations markets and publicizes
little-known facts, discoveries, changes and human-interest stories from
the 15 UT campuses.
The office facilitates relationships between the UT
System and national, state and local associations as well
as to business, civic and community groups. The office also provides
executive communication and news and public information services
for the UT System
and coordinates official functions and programs for the Board of
Regents and the Chancellor of the
UT System.
