Due to the ongoing implementation of the Migration Plan (with related furniture moves and/or purchases) and the roll-out of the new System Administration Furniture Standards (see below), there will be a moratorium on new furniture purchases (regardless of funding source). Exceptions to this moratorium must be approved by the Assistant Vice Chancellor for Operations and Support Services using the Furniture Exception Request Form (coming soon).
Over the years System Administration has ended up with a mixed bag of furniture styles and types. This makes management and maintenance of this furniture cumbersome and costly. In order to better manage the inventory of System Administration Furniture, Facilities Management in conjunction with the Office of Facilities Planning and Construction has adopted new standards for furniture capitalizing on existing modular furniture in our offices. These new standards integrate well with most of our existing modular furniture which is evidenced by the mixed use of new and existing furniture in the current Migration moves. These new efficient standards will be used as we upgrade from the older traditional furniture. Exceptions to the new standards must be approved by the Assistant Vice Chancellor for Operations and Support Services and the Vice Chancellor for Administration using the Furniture Exception Request Form (coming soon).

Facilities Management has a catalog of available surplus artwork which may be checked out for a limited time. There is usually a waiting list so please have an SOS submitted as soon as possible.
