morning. Please pay close attention to the closure and re-open
schedule for the arterial and collector streets that may affect a
traditional path into the downtown area. The course map, parking
facilities and Capitol Metro's commuting plan can be found on our

Some specific times:
Race starts at 8:30 a.m. at Barton Springs Road and E. Riverside Drive
No 5th or 6th Street crossing at Congress from 8:45 a.m. to 9:45 a.m.
No 15th Street crossing between Guadalupe and Lavaca from 8:45 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
No Cesar Chavez crossing at Congress from 8:45 a.m.to 9:45 a.m.

Yes, that local nuisance, the Great-tailed Grackle (quiscalus mexicanus) has returned to Austin! Operations and Support Services is aware of the situation around our buildings and is dealing with the mess created by these birds as quickly as possible.
