
Save the Date: The next Innovations in Medical Education Conference will be held
October 5-6, 2006, at the Commons Center of the J.J. Pickle Research Campus of UT
Austin located in north Austin. The conference will be hosted by the University of
Texas Academy of Medical Education. Additional details about this exciting conference
will follow in a few weeks.
The University of Texas Medical Education Collaboration
(UTMEC) is a working group involving the six health institutions of The
University of Texas System under the sponsorship of Dr. Kenneth I. Shine,
Executive Vice Chancellor for Health Affairs at The University of Texas
System.

Second Annual Conference on Innovations in Medical Education
The Conference was held October 6-7, 2005 at the Commons Center on the J.J.
Pickle Research Campus in Austin, Texas. The theme was Competencies and Professionalism in
Medical Education. Educators involved in undergraduate and graduate medical education attended,
as well as colleagues from all medical campuses across the state.
