The mission of the Information Security Council (UT ISC) is to efficiently
protect the information assets of The University of Texas System by:
- Promoting the exchange
of security information among U.T. System professionals charged with
protection of University information assets,
- Promoting cost effective
and, where possible, common solutions to information security problems
and vulnerabilities,
- Developing and sharing
information security tools,
- Advising the Information
Technology Management Council (ITMC) and the Associate Vice Chancellor
and CIO when requested or when the UT ISC determines the need.
