Meetings
Routine face-to-face meetings are considered essential to build trust
relationships between members, a key success factor. To that end the meetings:
- Are generally held quarterly,
rotated among UT campus cities with the local campus(es) serving to
coordinate local arrangements
- Last one and one-half days
- Have about nine sessions
in a single track that cover technical, policy-related, procurement,
recent security incident, and organizational topics
- Meeting sessions are presented
by volunteer members and an occasional invited vendor
- Are announced to the membership
via the listserv
- Average about 45 attendees,
with from one to five from each campus (excepting the local host campus,
which usually has more)
- Are held in a local hotel
so as to minimize transportation issues
- Have no registration fee
