Three Administrative Appointments Announced
AUSTIN - Chancellor Mark G. Yudof has moved to complete his administrative team with appointments in the offices of academic affairs, governmental relations, and community relations. Yudof announced on Monday the appointments of:
"Each of these appointees has extraordinary strengths that will help the University of Texas System fulfill its mission of service to the people of Texas," Yudof said. "Each will contribute, in distinctive ways, to our commitment to keeping higher education accessible, affordable, accountable, and of high quality."
Jammer was deputy general counsel and vice president of governmental affairs for the Texas Credit Union League from 2000 to 2002. He also served as general counsel to State Sen. Ken Armbrister and several Senate committees, and he was chief of staff for former State Rep. Tom Uher. He earned a bachelor's degree in accounting and a law degree from U.T. Austin.
Reyes has been associate dean of graduate studies at U.T. Austin since 1997. He has been on the faculty in the U.T. Austin Department of Educational Administration since 1991. Previously, he was a faculty member at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and the University of Kansas. He earned a bachelor's degree and a Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin. Reyes, who is teaching this semester at U.T. Austin, will serve in his new U.T. System position on a part-time basis until June 1, when the appointment will become full-time.
Rodriguez has been vice president for corporate contributions at Entergy Services Inc. in New Orleans, as well as vice president of Entergy Charitable Foundation, since 1999. Previously, she was governmental affairs executive for Entergy Texas. She also has served as director of minority affairs for the State Bar of Texas, director of minority programs at the LBJ School of Public Affairs at U.T. Austin, an aide in the Texas House of Representatives, and a paralegal for the Mexican American Legal Defense and Education Fund. She earned a bachelor's degree in art and government at U.T. Austin and a master of public affairs degree from the LBJ School. |
