Media Availability with Chairman and Chancellor To Follow Special Meeting of Regents on Tuesday

Charles Miller, chairman of the Board of Regents of the University of Texas System, and Mark G. Yudof, chancellor of the U.T. System, will be available to answer questions from the news media at the conclusion of a special meeting of the board on Tuesday, November 18. The meeting will begin at 10 a.m and will be conducted on the 9th floor of Ashbel Smith Hall, 201 W. 7th Street.

The agenda for November 18 includes an open meeting at which the board will discuss and take action on proposed tuition and fee plans, beginning with the spring semester 2004.

• Out-of-town reporters may take part in the news conference by calling 1-888-476-3757 by 2:15 p.m. CST. An AT&T operator will connect callers. (See next paragraph for further instructions.)
• Reporters who wish to take part in the news conference are asked to call Paula Bales at (512) 499-4363 no later than 11 a.m. CST Tuesday, November 18, so we will know who to expect. We don't want to start without you. You will be provided a participant code to join the telephone conference.

The special meeting of the board will be webcast live and available for viewing online (see instructions below). This webcast will also be archived for viewing at a later date at www.utsystem.edu/news.

Parking for the news media will be available at the guard kiosk on Colorado Street between 7th Street and 6th Street.
