Search Firm Named for Presidential Search at U.T. Arlington

AUSTIN --The executive search firm of Korn/Ferry International will work with the Presidential Search Advisory Committee to help identify candidates for the position of president of the University of Texas at Arlington, U.T. System Executive Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs Teresa Sullivan said Monday (May 5).

"The committee looks forward to working with Korn/Ferry to identify candidates for the presidency of U.T. Arlington," said Sullivan, chairperson of the committee. "The firm's national expertise in identifying executive leadership will be of great assistance to the committee."

Representatives from Korn/Ferry will be introduced at the next meeting of the search committee, scheduled for May 19 on the U.T. Arlington campus. The committee will make recommendations on possible successors to President Robert E. Witt, who assumed the presidency of the University of Alabama on March 1. The committee will be asked to present the names of five to 10 candidates, unranked, to the U.T. System Board of Regents, which will make the final decision.

A special interactive section of the U.T. Arlington website will provide updated information about the search.
