Statement Regarding Supreme Court Decisions on Affirmative Action
Comment by Chancellor Yudof: The University
of Texas System will defer comment on the Supreme Court decisions
in the Michigan affirmative action cases until further study of
the decisions in detail. We will be conferring with campus presidents
and admissions officers this summer to review the impact of the
decisions. It is likely that admissions for the spring semester
in 2004 will be the first group affected by the decisions. Campus
officials may wish to make comments in the interim. |
