Regents to meet in Dallas Dec. 9-10
The Board of Regents of The University of Texas System will hold a health affairs retreat in Dallas on Thursday, December 9 and Friday, December 10. The retreat will be followed by a special called meeting of the board on December 10. The retreat and full meeting of the board will be held at The Westin Galleria Hotel, 13340 Dallas Parkway.
The health affairs retreat will begin at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday and includes the following panel discussions and presentations:
The health affairs retreat will reconvene on Friday at 8:30 a.m. and will conclude with discussions and presentations on technology transfer and performance targets.
The meeting of the full board will begin at the conclusion of the health affairs retreat Friday at approximately 11 a.m. The agenda includes approval of revised Regents' Rules and Regulations and an affiliation agreement with the Texas Heart Institute. The board will then adjourn to executive session for consideration of personnel matters, litigation, and legal issues. The executive session will also include discussion relating to the selection and employment of a president for UT Dallas, including the possible naming of additional finalists for consideration.
The board will reconvene in open session to consider any action items from the executive session before adjourning.
Reporters wishing to attend the open session portions of the meeting and retreat may do so in the Governor's Room on the 21st floor of The Westin Galleria Hotel Dallas.
Parking for the news media will be available at the hotel.
