Finalists to Begin Campus Visits to UT Pan American

Finalists for the presidency of the University of Texas–Pan American will meet with students, faculty, staff, and community members during visits to the campus beginning the week of April 25.

The Board of Regents of the University of Texas System named seven finalists for the presidency of UT Pan American on Monday (April 19). One of the finalists, Dr. Herman Lujan, provost and vice president for academic affairs at the California State University, Los Angeles, formally withdrew his name from consideration on Thursday (April 22).

State law requires that names of finalists for a university presidency be made public at least 21 days before regents vote on the appointment.
