Regents Appoint UTIMCO Board and Texas Growth Fund Representatives |
|
AUSTIN – The Board of Regents of The University of Texas System appointed Regent Robert A. Estrada as a regental representative to the board of trustees of the Texas Growth Fund and Regent John W. Barnhill, Jr., to the board of directors of The University of Texas Investment Management Company.
The appointments were made today (Friday) during a regents' meeting in Austin.
Barnhill, who has served as a regent since 2003, replaces James Richard Huffines on the UTIMCO board. Huffines resigned from the UTIMCO board when he was elected chairman of the UT Board of Regents on June 2. Barnhill is also chair of the board's Facilities Planning and Construction Committee.
Estrada replaces Barnhill as the regental representative on the Texas Growth Fund Board of Trustees. A member of the UT Board of Regents since 2001, Estrada chairs the Board's Audit, Compliance, and Management Review Committee. |
