Krier appointed vice chairman of UT System Board of Regents

 

BROWNSVILLE -- The Honorable Cyndi Taylor Krier of San Antonio was elected vice chairman of the UT System Board of Regents at meetings in Brownsville today.

 

Krier, chair of the board's Academic Affairs Committee, was elected unanimously. She joins Regents Woody L. Hunt and Rita Clements as one of three vice chairmen of the board. She was appointed a regent of the UT System in 2001 by Governor Rick Perry.

 

The UT System has 15 campuses, including nine academic and six health institutions, an enrollment exceeding 170,000 students, more than 80,000 employees, and an annual operating budget of $7.8 billion.
