Board of Regents to Meet in Austin Feb. 9-10

 

The Board of Regents of The University of Texas System will meet Wednesday and Thursday, Feb 9-10, in Austin. The meetings on both days will be on the 9th floor of Ashbel Smith Hall, 201 W. 7th Street.

 

Parking for the news media will be available at the guard kiosk on Colorado Street between 7th and 6th Streets.

 

Out-of-town reporters may view the open sessions via a live webcast on Wednesday (Feb. 9) and Thursday (Feb. 10). Please make note that you will need Windows Media Player to view this webcast.

 

Wednesday, Feb. 9

  • 10:00 a.m. – Audit, Compliance, and Management Review Committee
    • Report on the 2004 State Auditor's Office financial statement audits of UT System institutions
  • 11:00 a.m. – Finance and Planning Committee
  • 12:00 noon – Lunch
  • 12:30 p.m. – Academic Affairs Committee
  • 1:30 p.m. – Health Affairs Committee
  • 2:30 p.m. – Facilities Planning and Construction Committee
  • 3:30 p.m. – Board recesses into executive session to discuss personnel and legal matters. Any action will be taken in open session.

The board will recess at approximately 5:00 p.m.

Thursday, Feb. 10

  • 9:00 a.m. – Student, Faculty, and Staff Campus Life Committee
    • Discussion and review regarding campus tuition and fees consultation processes
  • 9:30 a.m. – Board meets with officers of the Faculty Advisory Council
  • 10:30 a.m. – Full meeting of the board
    • Presentation of the Accountability and Performance Report for 2004-05
    • Discussion, recommendations, and appropriate action regarding national laboratories
  • 12:00 noon – Board recesses into executive session to discuss personnel and legal matters. Any action will be taken in open session.
  • 2:30 p.m. – Board reconvenes in open session to take possible action on UT Dallas presidency
  • 3:00 p.m. – Presentation on UT Austin Commission of 125

The board meeting will adjourn at approximately 4:00 p.m.
