Statement by Chancellor Mark G. Yudof: UT Austin President Larry R. Faulkner's Retirement

AUSTIN - University of Texas System Chancellor Mark G. Yudof issued the following statement today (June 30) concerning UT Austin President Larry R. Faulkner's decision to retire.

Larry Faulkner is a leader, a visionary, and among the best university presidents in the country. Like the most accomplished and wise in every endeavor, he is leaving at the top of his game, when all of us wish he would stay longer and do more - and we have told him so. Difficult as it will be to replace him, we respect Larry's decision and wish him Godspeed for whatever comes next.
