AUSTIN – The University of Texas System Board of Regents will hold a special called meeting in Austin on December 6, 2007. The meeting begins at 9:00 a.m. on the 9th floor of Ashbel Smith Hall, 201 W. 7th St. Parking for the news media will be available at the guard kiosk on Colorado Street between 7th and 6th Streets.

Agenda items include:
- Meeting of the UT Brownsville/Texas Southmost College Partnership Advisory Committee
- Discussion and appropriate action related to consideration of tuition and fee proposals
- Appointment of committee chairmen and other regental representative appointments by the Regents’ Chairman H. Scott Caven, Jr.
- Discussion and appropriate action related to the Brackenridge Tract Task Force Report
The board will recess in to executive session at approximately 12:30 p.m. for consideration of personnel and real estate matters, negotiated gifts and legal issues. Any action will be taken in open session. The board meeting will recess at approximately 1:30 p.m.
A Presidents' Retreat will begin at approximately 3:00 p.m. on December 6 at the Hyatt Regency Lost Pines, 575 Hyatt Lost Pines Road, Lost Pines, Texas. The Presidents' Retreat will reconvene at 8:00 a.m. on Friday, December 7, 2007 at the Hyatt Regency Lost Pines.
The Presidents’ Retreat will include discussions and presentations on various critical trends and issues concerning higher education and health care within the state and nation. The retreat will adjourn at approximately 1:30 p.m.
