AUSTIN – The Board of Regents of The University of Texas System will meet Thursday, Dec. 6, in Austin. The meeting will be held on the ninth floor of Ashbel Smith Hall, 201 W. 7th Street.

The agenda book for the meeting is available online. Reporters may print the agenda book as hard copies will not be available at the Board meeting.

Open sessions of the meeting may be viewed via a live webcast. 

Parking for the news media will be available at the guard kiosk on Colorado Street between 7th and 6th Streets.

The Board will convene in open session at approximately 10:30 a.m.; agenda items include:

• Approval of employment agreement for J. Michael Peppers as Chief Audit Executive
• Report from the Student Debt Reduction Task Force
• Discussion and appropriate action related to a plan for comprehensive educational and health opportunities in South Texas and appropriation of related funding including appropriation for medical education in South Texas

The Board will recess into executive session at approximately 1:00 p.m. and reconvene in open session at approximately 2:55 p.m. for action on executive session items, if any.

The meeting will adjourn at approximately 3:00 p.m.
