UT System Regents to meet Friday

The University of Texas System Board of Regents will hold a special called meeting at 1:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 2 in Austin. The meeting will be held via telephone conference call on the ninth floor of Ashbel Smith Hall, 201 W. 7th St.

The Board will convene in open session at 1:30 p.m. and will immediately recess to executive session to discuss personnel and legal matters. The Board will reconvene in open session at about 1:50 p.m. to consider action, if any, on executive session items.

The Board also will discuss and consider a proposal by UT Southwestern for the formation of a health care network with Texas Health Resources as well as policies and procedures related to the approval of future tuition and fee rates at UT System institutions.

The meeting is expected to adjourn at about 3 p.m.
