The magazine, which hit newsstands this week, also recognized UT Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas in the areas of neurology and neurosurgery (18th); urology (25th); kidney disease (36th); and gynecology (48th). UT M.D. Anderson also was recognized in the categories of ear, nose and throat (4th); urology (9th); and gynecology (16th). Additionally, two other UT affiliated hospitals were recognized in various other categories. Those hospitals are the Texas Heart Institute at St. Luke’s Episcopal Hospital and Memorial Hermann TIRR, both of Houston. The No. 1 ranking for UT M.D. Anderson marked the fourth time in five years the cancer center was named the top cancer hospital in the country.
