University of Texas System - United To Serve

NATIONAL VOLUNTEER WEEK
April 19-25, 2009

United To Serve is a System-wide volunteer initiative involving

UT System students, administrators, faculty and staff

in an effort to engage and mobilize thousands of volunteers

in the communities where we are located.

UT System Administration

This year, UT System Administration has an opportunity to assist SafePlace at the 2009 SafePlace Field Day and Festival on Saturday, April 18. From 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. UT System Administration employees will be breaking down and cleaning up at the end of the event. We will be supplied with T-shirts and all of the supplies that we need!

SafePlace is a unified source of hope for women, children and men in Austin and Travis County hurt by sexual and domestic violence. SafePlace is a nationally recognized leader for its innovative and effective programs. To learn more about the SafePlace mission and program please visit www.safeplace.org.

Volunteer for this opportunity by contacting Kim Newton at 512-499-4797 or by e-mail at knewton@utsystem.edu. We look forward to a fun afternoon for our UT System Administration employees to enjoy an afternoon of fun that benefits a very special organization!
