UT institutional Vice Presidents of Research, research leaders, and Vice Presidents for Development were invited to a special forum to explore and discuss new standards and practices for fundraising in support of research.
Supporting several foci within A Framework for Advancing Excellence, this highly participatory forum included opportunities to acquire new knowledge, provide input, and create a new working collaborative model for philanthropy and research among UT institutions.
The forum was hosted by Dr. Patricia Hurn, Associate Vice Chancellor for Health Science Research, Dr. Dale Klein, Associate Vice Chancellor for Research in the Office of Academic Affairs, Randa Safady, Vice Chancellor for External Relations, and Jim Noffke, UT System’s Center for Enhancing Philanthropy.
Eduventures National Study
Recently Eduventures conducted a national study, Managing Returns on Advancement Investments, which will generate a dashboard of operational metrics to help development organizations evaluate resource allocations and identify effective ways of structuring and growing fundraising programs. Eduventures invited each UT academic institution to participate, along with some of their peer institutions. Results from this study will be released Spring 2012. Thank you to those who participated!
