UT CARE Part D Prescription Plan (Medicare)

Main page content

The UT CARE Medicare Part D plan provides prescription drug coverage for retirees (non-working) and their dependents who are eligible for Medicare. If you don't know which prescription drug plan applies to you, read about the Prescription Drug Plan options for Retired Employees.

Welcome Kits (including your new ID card) are mailed to each new eligible participant and include a Welcome Letter, your UT CARE Medicare Part D ID card, and a full description of the program.

January 1 , 2023

  • Start of new plan year and new annual deductible

  • New participants should begin using new ID Card

The generic, preferred, or non-preferred list of covered drugs is reviewed periodically resulting in changes to the prescription drug list throughout the year. If you are taking a medication that is affected by one of these changes, Express Scripts will mail a letter to your address on file to alert you of the change in benefits. Please refer to the Express Scripts website or call Express Scripts Customer Service for current information on specific medications.
