ABOUT THE CONFERENCE
Please join us for the 9th Annual UT System Legal Conference. In structuring this year's conference, we set forth a few simple goals: (1) offer topics of interest to higher education attorneys in Texas; (2) give our System attorneys and their friends a chance to meet a significant portion of annual CLE requirements (including ethics) in one compact conference; (3) create an environment where our System attorneys and their colleagues can interact socially; and (4) do it all in a fun and friendly atmosphere. I think you'll find the speakers at this year's conference to be of the highest quality. You'll find some old faces and a few new twists.
Just a few highlights -- Drawing upon his experiences working at the highest levels of government and private sector, Dan Bartlett will discuss political trends at the national and state level and how it impacts the major issues facing our country. As always in post-session years, Steve Collins will survey the damage done and injustice achieved by the Texas Legislature. Sue Snyder, from Jackson Walker, will discuss a topic of emerging importance to campuses -- international transactions. On day 2, Chancellor Cigarroa will share with us his vision for UT System in the coming years and Charles Sorber, record holder for serving the most UT institutions (six and counting) will give an interesting talk on the challenges facing interim presidents.

From North: Follow IH-35 South to 8th-3rd Street exit. Immediately turn right (west) on 8th Street, follow 8th Street for 9 blocks and turn left on Guadalupe Street. Go one block and turn left on 7th Street. Keep in the right lane and enter parking garage.
From South: Follow IH-35 North to 6th-12th Street exit, turn left on 8th Street. Follow 8th Street 9 blocks to Guadalupe Street. Turn left on Guadalupe then go one block and turn left on 7th Street. Keep in the right lane and enter parking garage.
From Bergstrom Airport: Exit the terminal and follow highway 71 West to IH-35. Follow IH-35 North to 6th-12th Street exit, turn left on 8th Street. Follow 8th Street 9 blocks to Guadalupe Street. Turn left on Guadalupe then go one block and turn left on 7th Street. Keep in the right lane and enter parking garage.
