Education and experience required including training, registration, and licensure. High school diploma or GED equivalent with three years journey level experience.

1.

Scrape, sandpaper, prime, or seal surfaces prior to painting.

2.

Mix, match, and apply paint, varnish, shellac, enamel, and other finishes.

3.

Cut glass to size and shape.

4.

Check condition of woodwork.  Report needs for carpentry repairs.  Erect or rig scaffolds.

5.

Cover surfaces and furniture to protect from paint.

6.

Remove spattered paint after a job is complete.

7.

Clean and care for brushes, spray guns, and other equipment.
