Job Purpose To maintain the grounds and landscaping facilities at an official University residence including lawn care, equipment repair, and pool and irrigation system maintenance.
Education and experience required including training, registration, and licensure. High school diploma or GED equivalent with a minimum of 3 years landscaping and horticulture experience.
Supervision provided to others. No

1.

Maintain the lawn by mowing, trimming, watering, fertilizing, and general care.

2.

Maintain flower beds and provide tree care by pruning, weeding, planting, and fertilizing as needed.

3.

Maintain clean drive-ways and patio areas by power washing, raking, utilizing power blowers, and other pressure washers.

4.

Maintain the pool and irrigation system by testing chemicals and changing sprinkler heads and pipes.

5.

Communicate with vendors and System employees regarding maintenance or material needs.

6.

Perform administrative office work such as filing paperwork, creating memos and other documents, and daily logs.
