| Job Purpose | To enforce, on an assigned shift, the rules and regulations of the University of Texas System Administration pertaining to the safeguarding of employees, building, property and the parking of vehicles at the University System Complex. |
| Education and experience required including training, registration, and licensure. | High school diploma or GED equivalent and a valid Texas drivers license with an acceptable driving record. |

1. |
Ensure all personnel entering the complex are properly identified. |
2. |
Issue visitor permits and maintain a log of all issued permits. |
3. |
Patrol buildings and grounds to check for unauthorized subjects, fires, water leaks, and general building security, reporting all irregularities, emergencies, or suspicious activity to the Office of the Director of Police. |

Check parking permits on vehicles entering parking garages. |
| 5. | Issue temporary parking permits as needed. |
| 6. | Provide information to visitors as to the location of building and offices. |
| 7. | Write reports on incidents occurring at the complex. |
| 8. | Monitor fire and intrusion alarm system. |
| 9. | Occasionally drive University vehicle. |
| 10. | Perform related duties as required. |
