| Job Purpose | Under general supervision, provides technical knowledge and expertise in the operation and support of U.T. System and institutional health and safety programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and national consensus guidelines. |
| Education and experience required including training, registration, and licensure. | Bachelors degree in safety-related field with a minimum of one year experience in chemical safety, industrial hygiene, environmental health, occupational safety programs, loss prevention or related fields. |

Develop, implement and coordinate safety programs. |

Analyze accident data and recommend proactive solutions to reduce the frequency and severity of accidents. |

Provide technical assistance system-wide to Safety and WCI staff. |

Maintain the pool and irrigation system by testing chemicals and changing sprinkler heads and pipes. |

Conduct periodic surveys and inspections of facilities and equipment to comply with code requirements, identify safety hazards, prevent accidents, and conserve University property. |

Develop and deliver safety training system-wide to employees. |
