SUMMARY
Purpose: To coordinate work required for operation of multi-media presentations for high-profile meeting and videoconferences and provide technical assistance in support of System Administration.
DUTIES
Samples
of Work Performed:
·
Oversee,
support and operate multi-media, videoconference, audio, and related equipment
at the System Administration complex for Board of Regents’ and other
high-profile meetings.
·
Integrate,
implement, operate and maintain media and audio/visual equipment located in all
System Administration conference rooms.
·
Train
meeting coordinators and presenters on the operation and care of equipment
available for use in meeting facilities at System Administration.
·
Coordinate
videoconference endpoints at campuses and System Administration.
·
Research
and assess equipment capabilities, user needs and cost effectiveness in order
to recommend new technologies or modification of existing technologies.
·
Consult
with departments on integration and planning of events requiring audio/visual
needs.
·
Schedule
and manage video conference resources at System Administration.
·
Webcasting
of training and informational content for live viewing as well as archived
viewing by customers, employees, and public.
·
Consults
with vendor on the design, implementation and testing of new media solutions.
·
Provide
technical support for meetings at off-site locations.
·
Other
duties as assigned.
SUPERVISION
Received: Work is performed under general supervision with some latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment

QUALIFICATIONS
Education: High
school diploma or GED equivalent.
Experience: Minimum
of 5 years experience utilizing and maintaining videoconferencing and other
audio-visual information technology equipment.
Knowledge, skills and abilities: Knowledge of the use and application
of repair and maintenance test equipment and tools, instructional methods and
techniques, video production, editing, recording, computer graphics and
animation. Knowledge
of quality multimedia processes including photographic equipment, audio/visual
equipment, and computer operation.
Skill in use of production, recording, developing,
testing, and maintenance equipment.
Ability to interpret instrument and meter readings, wiring diagrams, and
schematic drawings, and blueprints; to operate video and audio machines, video
cameras and edit controller; and operate multi screen projection equipment and
computer systems.
WORKING
CONDITIONS
Work is performed in an office
environment. Occasional overnight travel
and evening/weekend work may be required.
