SUMMARY

Purpose/Scope:   Drafts, writes, edits, researches, and compiles information for U.T. System publications.

 

DUTIES

Essential Functions:

·         Writes, drafts and/or edits information for use in a variety of U.T. System documents including reports, narrative and statistical information and summaries for print and electronic publications.

·         Researches, collects and compiles information or coordinates these activities for use in program documents.

·         Implements new tools and methods for data collection and analysis.

·         Coordinates and oversees the production and publication of a variety of documents.

·         Designs and drafts support materials and websites as needed for special projects.

·         Leads and/or participates in special project teams.

 

Other Functions:

·         Performs other duties as assigned.

 

SUPERVISION

Received:         Work is performed under general supervision from immediate supervisor.

                       

Provided:         Occasionally responsible for assigning activities to other employees

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Education:       Bachelor's degree required, preferably in English.

 

Experience:      Three years of experience in technical writing.

 

Knowledge, skills and abilities:   

 

WORKING CONDITIONS

Work is performed in an office environment.  Uses personal computer and other standard office equipment.  Requires occasional evening or weekend hours.
