SUMMARY

Purpose/Scope:   Coordinates and manages administrative services related to the operations of the department.

 

DUTIES

Samples of Work Performed:

·         Coordinates, tracks, monitors and oversees special projects or assignments for the department.

·         Sets appointments, arranges meetings and travel.

·         Manages the department’s records.

·         Supports special task forces and committees created by the department.

·         Gathers and organizes information in response to special requests from management, legislators, vendors and others.

·         Prepares and reviews reports, proposals, presentations and correspondence to ensure specified objectives.

·         Performs other duties as assigned.

 

SUPERVISION

Received:         Works under limited supervision with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.

 

Provided:         May supervise non-supervisory employees.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Education:       High school diploma or GED with additional specialized/technical training or some college courses

 

Experience:      Seven years of administrative experience

 

 

WORKING CONDITIONS

Work is performed in an office setting.
