SUMMARY

Purpose/Scope:   Provides independent assistance to the administrator in the daily operations and functions of the office or department.

 

DUTIES

Essential Functions:

·         Schedules and coordinates meetings and conferences for large groups.

·         Assists with coordination and tracking of pending assignments, from within and outside the office. 

·         Maintains budget and reconciles accounts, travel vouchers, expenses.

·         Provides assistance to the administrator as needed.

·         Coordinates with other administrative staff or serves as the lead administrative employee on small projects.

 

Other Functions:

·         Performs other duties as assigned.

 

SUPERVISION

Received:         Works under general supervision with moderate latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.

 

Provided:         None

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Education:       High school diploma or GED.

 

Experience:      Three years of administrative support experience.

 

Knowledge, skills and abilities:    Knowledge of general office practices and administrative procedures.  Strong organization skills.  Strong communication skills.  Ability to manage a variety of tasks.  Ability to use standard office equipment and software.

 

WORKING CONDITIONS

Work is performed in an office setting.
