SUMMARY

Purpose/Scope:  To provide clerical and/or reception support to all departmental staff.

                             

 

DUTIES

Essential Functions:

·         Sorts/distributes mail.

·         Copies documents.

·         Receives, screens and routes calls.

·         Greets visitors.

·         Uses PC and other standard office equipment.

 

Other Functions:

·         Performs other duties as assigned.

 

SUPERVISION

Received:  Work is performed under moderate supervision with limited latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.

 

Provided:         None

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Education:       High school diploma or GED.

 

Experience:     No previous experience required.

 

Knowledge, skills and abilities:   Knowledge of standard office practices.  Excellent customer service skills.  Excellent verbal and written communication skills.  Ability to use standard office equipment such as copy machines, multi-line telephones, fax machines.  Ability to use standard personal computer.  Ability to perform basic tasks using the Microsoft Office Suite.

 

WORKING CONDITIONS

Exposure to standard office conditions.  Requires repetitive use of keyboard at workstation.  May require occasional lifting/moving.
